Stir Our Hearts, LORD!

As I went to my prayer closet window with a hurting heart one Sunday morning, I was struck by an uncanny stillness. There was absolutely no movement in sight - not even the tiniest flutter of a leaf anywhere — just dead stillness — and dead silence.

My heart felt the same weight that morning and I cried out to God for help — for hope and encouragement to keep believing through the pain of loss and unanswered prayers.

A song was birthed out of that morning in the presence of the Lord — and I pray it might be a gift to comfort and encourage you in the midst of all the challenges you are facing in these days.

With all the shakings that have come and are yet to come, both in the world and in our own lives, I pray our hearts would be stirred to rise up in faith to see the unfailing love and faithfulness of our God who is with us through it all.

Because of His great compassion and understanding, He will yet bring beauty out of our brokenness — and songs of victory from our hearts if we keep our eyes on Him, trust His Word, speak what’s true, and press ahead for His glory.
