Jesus Will Not Be Returning ... Prematurely!
May 01, 2024Jesus will not be returning… …prematurely!
Everything the Father does is “in the fullness of time” — that perfect time when everything is in place, when all is prepared, when every word is fulfilled. (Galatians 4:4) (Ephesians 1:10)
Jesus will be returning… just not prematurely! He came the first time “in the fullness of time” — and He’ll come back “in the fullness of time”, too.
I wonder if angels are still asking: “Why are you staring at the sky? Go do what He told you to do! He’ll come back when it’s time! And when He comes will He find you doing the do that He asked you to?!”
Jesus is not returning to rescue the church from a failed mission attempt!
He gave His life for our victory! He said He would build His church and the gates of hell could not prevail against it! (Matthew 16:18) He said of the increase of His government there would be no end. (Isaiah 9:6-7) He said the glory of His unshakable kingdom (Hebrews 12:27-28) would rise to fill the whole earth as the waters cover the sea. (Habakkuk 2:14) He disarmed our enemy. (Colossians 2:15) He established a kingdom for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven!
I don’t know if you’re seeing what I’m seeing, but it appears we have a “fullness of victory” yet to be won before the “fullness of time” comes!
The church has been given the mission of spreading the good news of Jesus to all the world, defeating the works of darkness, and discipling the nations to walk in the light of His kingdom. The Father gave Jesus all authority in heaven and on earth and under the earth for the church to accomplish that mission! (Ephesians 1:18-23)
Jesus is not returning to airlift His church in a body bag! He’s returning for a bride that has made herself ready — pure — radiant — without spot or wrinkle or any other blemish — purified and eagerly accomplishing every good work He prepared for her to do. Eagerly accomplishing her mission!
That’s how we truly show we love Him and are longing for His appearing! We’re not staring out a window in the back room waiting for a ride — we’re learning how to rule and reign as a bride at His side when He comes!
Jesus brought glory to the Father by completing the work He was given to do. He gave us power to do the same and even greater works because the Spirit that raised Him from the dead is now alive in each of us who believe!
We are called to rise up and walk in the victory and authority He’s given us! There’s a world desperately needing to know the love of our God — and there are nations crumbling that need to be discipled in His goodness and the glory of His kingdom!
Let’s bring glory to the Father like Jesus did — by completing the good work He’s given us to do!
“Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing His will, and may He work in us what is pleasing to Him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.” Hebrews 13: 20-21 NIV
Women longing for Jesus — if you feel like you’re living in the middle of a failed mission — or your radiance is lying in a body bag — don’t despair — there is still hope!
There is hope for resurrection of the dream God placed in your heart!
There is hope for the joy of a bride beautifully adorned for the love of her life!
There is hope for His coming — “in the fullness of time”!
Your life, your dreams, your gifts matter!
You are alive in this season for a reason!
You are part of all things coming together for “the fullness of time”!
If you’d like to resurrect your dream and become all God designed you to be in these days — respond “I want to do the do!” — and I’ll reach out to connect with you!
I’d love to do this “wake up and walk in victory” thing together with you! Bless you!
